Yearbook photos have been turned in and this Roaring Fork Senior Photographer is celebrating another successfully busy season! Thank you to all of the High School Seniors who have chosen CJP to create some totally rad images to document this important milestone! What do I do now that the season has ended? Well, I get to catch up on all the adult tasks that come with owning a business like taxes and the not so fun stuff that these seniors will soon get to complain about as well. But, during the midst of adulthood I enjoy getting to spend every chance I get with these young people before they embark on their new adventures. It's a time for me to be creative, play, and shoot without pressure. That's exactly what we did here in our local laundromat! Enough with the cold winter months, let's do something indoors. So I called up these two awesome gals and said "hey, find some retro"ish" outfits and let's go play in the Laundromat (because I had been there not long ago and the light was amazing!). We did and we had a blast! Although, the Laundromat was quite busy - who knew?
Coal Ridge Class of 2017 | Christian
Today is the day that the Coal Ridge Class of 2017 will walk together and say their goodbyes one last time. Among those students is Christian whom I've gotten to know over the past year and I can tell you he is one funny guy! Christian is headed to Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah this fall. There he will earn his Bachelors in Biology.
Congratulations, Christian!!
Central High School Class of 2017 | Reilly
They are graduating faster than I can produce the blog posts! I couldn't forget Miss Reilly who walked with Central High School's Class of 2017 yesterday morning! I've said it before but I'll say it again, I am so lucky to get to work with such a great group of Seniors year after year. Reilly has really been one of my favorites this season because she is such a hard worker and an inspiration to her peers. She has already turned her tassel and tossed her cap in the air and this fall she is headed to Colorado Mesa University to study Psychology. She is excited for her college adventures but she is going to miss her friends and the nights spent in the student section at the volleyball and basketball games! She even admits that she will miss the teachers that she grew close to during her 4 years of high school. Awwwww, Reilly girl, you are such a sweetheart! I can't wait to see and hear about all the fun you are going to have at CMU!
Congratulations!!

Central High School | Briana
I'm not sure if she tossed that beautifully decorated hat into the air but this girl graduated earlier today from Central High School! Briana is so amazing! Seriously, I can't think of a better word to describe her! I have gotten to know Briana over the past year as a member of my model team and she is so sweet I wish I could keep her around forever! She has worked so hard to get where she's going and this fall she is headed to the University of Colorado Boulder to study Chemical Engineering. She earned a plethora of scholarships to help her fulfill her dreams including the University of Colorado Boulder Outstanding Student Award, the Grand Valley Power Scholarship and the CMU Distinguished scholars award... just to name a few.
When I asked Briana if there was anything I should share with the world on her behalf, she wanted to send a HUGE thank you to her parents for supporting her throughout the years and helping her to become the person she is today! She even thanked ME, oh my gosh what a doll she is! Thanks Briana!! You are the greatest!!
I wish you all the best and I can't wait to follow your journey!
Palisade High School | Destinee
The Class of 2017 from Palisade High School will walk across the stage one last time today and among those turning their tassels is the lovely Destinee. Destinee has been an awesome member of my street team throughout her senior year and I have really enjoyed getting to know her! Later this fall she will attend Regis University in Denver, CO to study chemistry and she even received an annual scholarship to do so!
Way to go, girl! I am so excited for where life's journey will take you and I have no doubts that you will be incredibly successful!!
Congratulations, Destinee!

Carrie
Grand Junction Photographer | Caleb
Caleb is another Graduate coming out of Grand Junction and he will soon earn his diploma from Valley West High School. Caleb is an incredibly talented dancer and has been a member of the Absolute Dance Studio in GJ for quite some time. He has been dancing since he was 9 years old and recently received a full tuition scholarship to The Kansas City Ballet summer intensive where he will be heading for 5 weeks this summer! Caleb plans to take a gap year before heading off to college and soaking in as much dance as he can.
Be on the lookout for Caleb this fall when Absolute Dance hosts the ballet show, Snow White!
Congratulations, Caleb!
I wish you all the best on your new adventures!

Coal Ridge Class of 2017 | Madison
The Coal Ridge Class of 2017 is about to set free another incredible student! Allow me to introduce to you Miss Madison! Madie will graduate with her class mates on May 21st and this fall she is headed to Colorado Mesa University to obtain her Nursing degree! Family and friends are so proud her and she's definitely earned all of the good fortune headed her way. Madie has received a handful of scholarships to help her on her journey to success and among those scholarships awarded are: CMU Distinguished Scholars (Full tuition), CMU First Generation, and the Glenwood Hot Springs Higher Education Scholarship.
I thoroughly enjoyed having Madie on my Team this year. The very first time we met I was blown away by her infectious smile! Seriously, this girl has a smile that you remember and it's so contagious. Madie has held the position of Senior Class president throughout her final year as a Titan and one of the things she will miss the most is being able to coordinate all of the class and school events. She will also greatly miss her peers and classmates. (I'm going to miss you too, girl!)
Congratulations, Madison!

Palisade HS Class of 2017 | Ivy
Palisade HS Class of 2017 is full of incredible students! Among those students who will soon flip her tassel and toss her hat in the air is Miss Ivy. This girl right here has been so much fun to watch and work with over the past year! She has a heart of gold and a personality that instantly makes you want to be her best friend! Ivy will walk across the stage on May 15th and this fall she is headed to Colorado State University in Fort Collins. She's got her eye on some pretty outstanding degrees including a Bachelor's in Psychology/Criminal Justice and then she wants to pursue her master's in Forensic Psychology. You go girl!
Ivy tells me that she will miss her friends and the thousands of adventures! She will miss the family-like atmosphere of her high school classes and more specifically her IB peers. Late night football games were some of her favorite times and the late night dinners with besties. Don't worry, Ivy girl, college life won't disappoint. I promise!
Ivy has been a wonderful addition to my Class of 2017 Street Team!
I can't wait to see all you do in life!
