Coal Ridge Senior, Emily will also turn her tassel later today!  Later this fall she will be headed off to pursue a degree as a dental hygienist and she will also be playing volleyball.  (She's pretty good too, I might add!). I am really going to miss her and her funny sense of humor.  I call her my pig whisperer as she often baby sits my pig for me (she thinks the Pig hate her), haha!!  Good luck to you, Emily girl!!  I am so excited for you and your future!  Have fun today!

Dirty Laundry | Roaring Fork Senior Photographer

Yearbook photos have been turned in and this Roaring Fork Senior Photographer is celebrating another successfully busy season!  Thank you to all of the High School Seniors who have chosen CJP to create some totally rad images to document this important milestone!  What do I do now that the season has ended?  Well, I get to catch up on all the adult tasks that come with owning a business like taxes and the not so fun stuff that these seniors will soon get to complain about as well.  But, during the midst of adulthood I enjoy getting to spend every chance I get with these young people before they embark on their new adventures.  It's a time for me to be creative, play, and shoot without pressure.  That's exactly what we did here in our local laundromat!  Enough with the cold winter months, let's do something indoors.  So I called up these two awesome gals and said "hey, find some retro"ish" outfits and let's go play in the Laundromat (because I had been there not long ago and the light was amazing!).  We did and we had a blast!  Although, the Laundromat was quite busy - who knew?

Central High School Class of 2017 | Reilly

They are graduating faster than I can produce the blog posts!  I couldn't forget Miss Reilly who walked with Central High School's Class of 2017 yesterday morning!  I've said it before but I'll say it again, I am so lucky to get to work with such a great group of Seniors year after year.  Reilly has really been one of my favorites this season because she is such a hard worker and an inspiration to her peers.  She has already turned her tassel and tossed her cap in the air and this fall she is headed to Colorado Mesa University to study Psychology.  She is excited for her college adventures but she is going to miss her friends and the nights spent in the student section at the volleyball and basketball games!  She even admits that she will miss the teachers that she grew close to during her 4 years of high school.  Awwwww, Reilly girl, you are such a sweetheart!  I can't wait to see and hear about all the fun you are going to have at CMU!

Plateau Valley Class of 2017 | Caitlynn Grace

Caity Grace, Plateau Valley Class of 2017, is the first Senior to make the blog this season!  Caity is a Cowboy!  I don't mean a boot wearing, country singing, cow wrangling kinda cowboy - she is a Plateau Valley Cowboy (KAC!)!  She is an amazing young woman, so sweet and down to earth who has future plans to play college basketball after she turns her tassel in the spring.  Caity came over the hill to hang out with me in Silt for her Senior Photo Session which was nothing short of AMAZING!  See for yourself...

Megan | Palisade Senior Photographer | Class of 2016

Your Palisade High School Senior Photographer presents... Megan, Class of 2016!  I had the pleasure of spending two afternoons with this young lady after the weather put a damper on our first session.  The storm gave us a unique opportunity to put together two stylized shoots showcasing Megan's soft and bold personalities.  She did a phenomenal job for the camera and she even styled her own hair and makeup!  I'm excited to see where Megan's journeys take her after high school!

Maddie | Class of 2016 | Palisade Senior Photographer

Here is another Palisade High School Senior (Class of 2016) who has stolen my heart!  Why you ask?  Because this young lady has goals after high school to become a pastry chef!  I'm a huge foodie so I'm hoping she will come back and bring me some macarons!!
