Ashley | Senior Portraits | Plateau Valley High School

I love and enjoy every single one of my clients and the sessions we get to create but I hold a special place in my heart for Cowgirls and horses!  Ashley is a 2014 senior at Plateau Valley School in Collbran and she is an active participant in high school rodeo.  Ashley and her parents spend long weekends on the road traveling all over the state and surrounding areas so that she can chase her dreams.  It takes endless dedication and practice to do what Ashley does and I admire her strength.

We had so much during her session that we continued to take photos well after dark!  I just couldn't put my camera down.

KD + Kaitlynn | Collbran, CO Wedding

This wedding has been a long time coming!  KD & Kaitlynn are high school sweethearts and have been together forever.  I think it's probably safe to say that this marriage will last a lifetime :)  What a beautiful wedding this was and Kaitlynn did a phenomenal job on the details.  The wedding was held at the Ferguson Ranch (our parents) and was the perfect setting for such an occasion.

I had so much fun and I was honored as the groom's sister I also got to photograph the wedding.  Of course I had an amazing assistant (Katie Landers) who I specifically chose to help me out so that I could still be a part of this special day.

Congratulations KD & Kaitlynn!  I love you both!

Dom + Kara | Grand Junction, CO Wedding

I had waited all summer for Kara & Dom's big day!  I knew what a fun couple they were after having already taken their wet n' wild engagement photos and being total outdoor/water enthusiasts, I anticipated their wedding to be extremely eventful!  They expressed to me that they wanted to go wake boarding in their wedding attire.  Part of me was quietly screaming for joy because every photographer longs for such photo opportunities but the motherly side of me was very worried for their (mainly Kara's) safety.  Wedding dresses are somewhat heavy when they are dry let alone when they are wet.  They both assured me that they would not be in danger and that I underestimated Kara's wake boarding abilities.

So the day arrived and what a sloppy mess!  It had rained all day long and was still raining when I arrived at Kara's house only 2 hours before the ceremony was to begin.  The wedding party was in a panic because there was no cover to shield the guests from the drizzle.  They ran to Kohls and bought every single umbrella in stock.  Luckily the umbrellas were not needed because the skies dried just moments before the lovely couple walked down the isle.  The ceremony was simple and beautiful!

Kara had made this cute little sign as a surprise for her mama.  I'm sure this post is her first glimpse at the keepsake we created for her.  Awwwwww......

Kara's gift to Dom!  Wowzers!  This girl knows the way to a man's heart!

Finally it was time for some wet n' wild wedding day fun!  But it was almost dark!  Ugh, not good for the photographers but Katie and I managed to pull it off!  I admit it was a little tricky getting my camera to grab focus with almost no daylight left.

Congratulations Dominic and Kara!  I had an amazing time at your wedding and I'm so glad you picked me to be a part of it!

Artem + Kaela | Palisade, Colorado Wedding

Every wedding that I am hired for, I always develop a special bond with my brides and usually the groom too.  The wedding for Artem and Kaela was extra special to me because I already knew the bride from when she was just a wee one....(ok, so maybe I'm beginning to reveal my age - yikes!)  You see, Kaela's parents, Steve and Tori Hellman, were my high school volleyball and basketball coaches.  Their 3 children could be found hanging out in the bleachers during practice completing their homework, shagging volleyballs with the jv players, or entertaining PV Cowboys on the long bus rides to away games on the weekends.  Kaela, is since all grown up!  What a beautiful woman she has become and her parents should be oh so proud of her achievements in life, especially her latest journey to marry Artem.  It is evident that these two are a perfect pair and the best of friends!  Their wedding was so incredibly beautiful, elegant and quite sophisticated!  Their details were none like I have seen before and I have been told some of the credit needs to go to Mama Tori!  Nice work! Here is a peek from their perfect day...

Ali Jameson | Senior Portraits | Fruita Monument HS

Meet Ali, a 2014 Senior at Fruita Monument!  Ali is also one of my Senior Reps for the year!  She is beautiful, sweet and so much fun to work with!  Ali is a very accomplished track star, just look below at her plethora of medals won!  Cha-ching!

David + Rachel | Collbran, Colorado Wedding

Shortly after I had gotten wind that David and Rachel would be tying the knot they asked me to be their Photographer.  I was tickled!  Not only was I excited because I knew their wedding would be a beautiful country scene (which is just up my alley) but I was also looking forward to the mini high school reunion I knew this would turn out to be.  You see, David and I went to school together in Collbran, CO and our graduating class consisted of only 32 students but most of us were the best of friends.  I couldn't wait to see everyone come together once again to celebrate a good friend and his beautiful new bride!

Rachel, you looked stunning!

Dominic + Kara | Grand Junction, Colorado

Meet Dominic and Kara...

In just a little over two weeks this adorable couple will be getting married!  I am so excited for their wedding and for the amazing photos we have planned for the day!  The first time we attempted their engagement photos Mother Nature was not so cooperative so we postponed for a later date.  It was so worth the wait!  These two are such a fun pair and they had no objections to any of my suggestions (as you can see from their soaking attire)!

Yay!  I'm looking forward to July 27th!  It is going to be one for the books!  Congrats Dominic and Kara!!

Koehler Family | DeBeque, CO

Soon this month (hopefully) this adorable little family of three will grow by one!  That's right, The Koehler family is expecting a baby girl!  They will name her Reagan....so sweet!  I had so much with this family and little Ryan was such a trooper.  He is going to be such a protective big brother, I just know it!  I'm excited to meet his little sister here in the next few weeks.  Good luck Koehler family and congratulations!
