It's a BOY!

I am pleased to formally introduce you all to little man Kaizen Wesley Field who made his way into this big world on February 12th @ 1:39 pm!  Kaizen weighed in at 8.5 lbs and measured 21 inches long, such a handsome little fella.  Proud parents Chris and Aspen are the perfect loving parents and I was so tickled to have them visit me in the studio.  Kaizen was an absolute angel during his entire portrait session!  I look forward to watching this little guy grow up!

Madison | Class of 2015 | Western Colorado Senior Photographer

Folks, meet Madison!  She is a Senior from Dayton, Texas who has got some serious Style!  I mean serious!  I had the pleasure of taking Madison's Senior Portraits a few weeks ago while her family was visiting Colorado over Christmas break, an annual tradition.  Madison is part of a competitive Cheer Team in her home town and I've checked out some of her Cheer pictures, they are amazing!

We took Madison's pictures on what seemed like the coldest day of the year!  It was snowing off and on and just down right bitter.  We took breaks often to warm up and at one point I even had to take off my boots to let my toes thaw!  When we finished up her session at Powderhorn Resort it was a whopping 4 degrees out!  Brrrrrr!  It was so much fun, we had a blast and the images are stunning!  Take a look and leave her some love in the comments!

Why plan a winter wedding?

As a wedding vendor I know that the busiest months for marriage are May through September and you can be sure that couples book the vendors they want up to a year in advance.  Couples often miss out on the perfect venue or wedding photographer or even the most popular DJ because the summer months fill up so quickly.  So, why not plan a winter wedding?

Here are a few reasons you might want to consider holding off until the snow flies!

~ A winter wedding provides a magical feel of "winter wonderland"!

~  Guests schedules are less busy during the winter months because most people plan family vacations throughout the warmer season.  You are sure to see a lot more RSVP's from your guest list!

~  The snow and dreary backdrops are surprisingly beneficial when planning out your color scheme as they pretty much go with anything.  You can add as much contrast as you like without worrying about whether or not your wedding colors will clash with the freshly mowed green grass.

~  If you are a holiday fanatic then you have the option of planning for a Christmas or New Year's themed wedding

~   Most of all:  Winter weddings can be much lighter on the pocket book and your budget as most vendors offer discounts during the slower seasons!  (That's reason enough right there!)

Baby Jordyn | Grand Junction Colorado Newborn Photographer

Hello world!  I'm so proud to introduce baby Jordyn Elaine Martinez who was born on November 10th, 2014 to parents Dominic and Kara.  Jordyn arrived at 4:58 am weighing in at 7 lbs, 10 oz and measuring 20 1/2 inches long!  As any princess should, baby Jordyn kept everyone on their toes in anticipation of her arrival making it several days beyond her due date before she made her appearance.  Typical girl for ya! ;)  I'm so happy to meet you little one and it seems like only yesterday I was photographing your parents wedding!

Andrew + Jordann | Maison la Belle Vie Winery | Palisade Colorado Wedding Photographer

Andrew and Jordann were married recently on October 4th at Maison la Belle Vie Winery (Amy's Courtyard) in beautiful Palisade Colorado.  It was a stunning wedding and oh so much fun!  The lovely couple was surrounded by all of their closest friends and family as they vowed their love for one another.  All of the decorations for the day were prepared by Jordann herself!  Hats off to you lady, every detail was perfect!
