Jenna and Shelby were married June 14th, 2014 at "Behind the wall" in Grand Junction, CO.  It was a fabulous day for a wedding!  The majority of their guests were visiting from out of town so they were shuttled all the way from Horizon Drive to the venue on Orchard Mesa by Absolute Prestige Limousine Service which actually caused the ceremony to be delayed about 45 minutes in order to have everyone present.  No big deal!  What's a wedding if it doesn't run a little late, right?

Parachute Colorado Wedding Photographer | Sam + Rochelle

Sam and Rochelle were recently hitched at their home in Parachute, Colorado.  It was a gorgeous wedding and the effort these two put into planning their big event was evident in all the details.  It was a frigid spring day complete with gusty winds, a little bit of rain and I'm pretty sure it snowed towards the end!  Nonetheless, it was a party for the books!  Never let the weather control your outlook on a perfect wedding day!  The groom even added his own personal touch by playing/singing a song for his lovely new bride.

Grand Junction Wedding Photographer | Callie + Josh

Backyard country weddings are so much fun!  That's exactly the kind of wedding that Callie and Josh recently celebrated at her parents home up Reeder Mesa.  It was a very warm spring day, so warm in fact that even one of the flower girls decided to strip down during the ceremony!  It was nothing short of adorable!  Callie spent countless hours building up to their big day gathering and creating all of the wonderful handmade decorations.  The weather was splendid, the music was fabulous, the food was delicious and the guests who shared in the celebration brought with them an abundance of love and support.  The day was perfect!  The bride and groom hired us for only a few hours that day but here is a glimpse at the fun that was had!

Kate + Paul | Colorado Mountain Wedding |Grand Junction Wedding Photographer

- Be My Valentine -

Kate and Paul came all the way from Toronto Ontario Canada to be married at Powderhorn Mountain Resort on Valentine's Day!  The day was absolutely beautiful and perfect in every way!  The love these two have for each other was astonishing and I will never forget the moment I actually met Paul in person (up until the wedding date we had only been able to Skype) and the first thing I said to him was "your bride looks looks gorgeous" and Paul says to me "Yea, she is!".  I knew from that moment on that this day was going to be so much fun!

Due to the lack of sun and the opportunity for the Bride and Groom to jump right into the party following nuptials, the lovely coupled opted for a "first look" and to do all of the group and formal photos prior to the ceremony.  By doing so, we had so much time for the fun stuff!  I had a hard time choosing photos for the blog post so bare with me because there are many!

Last but not least, a couple of quick shout outs for all those who worked so closely with Kate and Paul remotely to put on the special day.

Bryant + Whitney | Mesa Colorado Wedding

Whitney and Bryant were married this Summer in Mesa, CO at Whitney's parents ranch.  It was a beautiful wedding with decorations galore!  This girl thought of everything and there were sunflowers everywhere!  These two are really a perfect couple and I was so honored to be a part of their big day!

KD + Kaitlynn | Collbran, CO Wedding

This wedding has been a long time coming!  KD & Kaitlynn are high school sweethearts and have been together forever.  I think it's probably safe to say that this marriage will last a lifetime :)  What a beautiful wedding this was and Kaitlynn did a phenomenal job on the details.  The wedding was held at the Ferguson Ranch (our parents) and was the perfect setting for such an occasion.

I had so much fun and I was honored as the groom's sister I also got to photograph the wedding.  Of course I had an amazing assistant (Katie Landers) who I specifically chose to help me out so that I could still be a part of this special day.

Congratulations KD & Kaitlynn!  I love you both!

Dom + Kara | Grand Junction, CO Wedding

I had waited all summer for Kara & Dom's big day!  I knew what a fun couple they were after having already taken their wet n' wild engagement photos and being total outdoor/water enthusiasts, I anticipated their wedding to be extremely eventful!  They expressed to me that they wanted to go wake boarding in their wedding attire.  Part of me was quietly screaming for joy because every photographer longs for such photo opportunities but the motherly side of me was very worried for their (mainly Kara's) safety.  Wedding dresses are somewhat heavy when they are dry let alone when they are wet.  They both assured me that they would not be in danger and that I underestimated Kara's wake boarding abilities.

So the day arrived and what a sloppy mess!  It had rained all day long and was still raining when I arrived at Kara's house only 2 hours before the ceremony was to begin.  The wedding party was in a panic because there was no cover to shield the guests from the drizzle.  They ran to Kohls and bought every single umbrella in stock.  Luckily the umbrellas were not needed because the skies dried just moments before the lovely couple walked down the isle.  The ceremony was simple and beautiful!

Kara had made this cute little sign as a surprise for her mama.  I'm sure this post is her first glimpse at the keepsake we created for her.  Awwwwww......

Kara's gift to Dom!  Wowzers!  This girl knows the way to a man's heart!

Finally it was time for some wet n' wild wedding day fun!  But it was almost dark!  Ugh, not good for the photographers but Katie and I managed to pull it off!  I admit it was a little tricky getting my camera to grab focus with almost no daylight left.

Congratulations Dominic and Kara!  I had an amazing time at your wedding and I'm so glad you picked me to be a part of it!

Artem + Kaela | Palisade, Colorado Wedding

Every wedding that I am hired for, I always develop a special bond with my brides and usually the groom too.  The wedding for Artem and Kaela was extra special to me because I already knew the bride from when she was just a wee one....(ok, so maybe I'm beginning to reveal my age - yikes!)  You see, Kaela's parents, Steve and Tori Hellman, were my high school volleyball and basketball coaches.  Their 3 children could be found hanging out in the bleachers during practice completing their homework, shagging volleyballs with the jv players, or entertaining PV Cowboys on the long bus rides to away games on the weekends.  Kaela, is since all grown up!  What a beautiful woman she has become and her parents should be oh so proud of her achievements in life, especially her latest journey to marry Artem.  It is evident that these two are a perfect pair and the best of friends!  Their wedding was so incredibly beautiful, elegant and quite sophisticated!  Their details were none like I have seen before and I have been told some of the credit needs to go to Mama Tori!  Nice work! Here is a peek from their perfect day...
